AddThis, a sharing platform, and Clearspring, a social data aggregator, present the sharing trends of 2011. With over 1.2 Billion users analyzed, this may be one of the most comprehensive sets of data available about online sharing.
According to Clearspring’s reports Tumblr sharing has grown over 1299.5%, and is accelerating. And this growth sharply contrasts with Myspace and Digg, whose sharing rates continue to fall (by 47.7% and 56.9% respectively). On the other side Facebook continues to grow, and Chrome is on its way to becoming the world’s most social browser. More key points below:
